About Plymouth
map
Plymouth Massachusetts is the largest town in area in the Commonwealth. It is a coastal community in southeastern Massachusetts about 5 miles north of the Cape Cad Canal. In the past Plymouth was mostly an isolated seacoast area where the economy was linked to the sea and shipping. The site of the original Pilgrim settlement in 1620 is now part of today's thriving Downtown/Harbor district.

Because of its accessibility to the Boston metropolitan area and its desirability in terms of land prices as well as tax rates and other residential amenities, Plymouth's population increased 145% in the 20 years between 1970 and 1990. The town has a healthy industrial and commercial base along with amenities that include exclusive golf course communities and miles of beautiful beaches.

Residents of Plymouth are proud of its downtown and harbor and beaches and are committed to controlling its residential growth while welcoming industrial and commercial expansion.

12 Angry Men
PLYMOUTH COMMUNITY THEATRE presents; Twelve Angry Men Adapted by Sherman L.Sergel Based on the Emmy award-winning television movie by Reginald Rose Directed by Jess Wilson A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. "He doesn't stand a chance," mutters the guard as the twelve jurors are taken into the bleak jury room. It looks like an open-and-shut case ... until one of the jurors begins opening the others' eyes to the facts. "This is a remarkable thing about democracy," says the foreign-born juror, "that we are notified by mail to come down to this place and decide on the guilt or innocence of a person; of a man or woman we have not known before. We have nothing to gain or lose by our verdict. We should not make it a personal thing." But personal it is, with each juror revealing his or her own character as the various testimonies are re-examined, the murder is re-enacted and a new murder threat is born before their eyes! Tempers get short, arguments grow heated, and the jurors become Twelve Angry Men. The jurors' final verdict and how they reach it will keep you on the edge of your seat! All shows at; The Spire 25 1/2 Court Street Plymouth, MA October 16-18 and 23-25 Tickets available soon! Rebecca's Corner featuring Amy Correia & Mieka Pauley
Rebecca Correia, a Nashville, TN based singer/songwriter with local roots, is hosting a songwriter showcase on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. at the Spire Center, 25 ½ Court Street in Plymouth, MA. Rebecca is a young veteran with already over 200 songs to her credit. Most recently, she co-wrote the song "So Long Goodbye" with three-time Grammy-winner Keb' Mo'. "So Long Goodbye" can be found on Keb's latest album Bluesamericana which is currently nominated for a GRAMMY for Best Americana Album. She is a rising star in the Nashville scene and has opened for a number of great and varied artists, including Shawn Colvin, Melissa Ferrick, Livingston Taylor and Howie Day. Her featured artist for the first Rebecca’s Corner is Amy Correia. Amy Correia delivers songs with a raw power that’s both vulnerable and fierce. That musical honesty has drawn comparisons to Tom Waits and Michelle Shocked and The New York Times calls her “a singular talent.” After two major releases on EMI, Amy Correia recently scored a creative and entrepreneurial victory by raising more than $35K to produce and release her third record, You Go Your Way. An early convert to the “fan-funded album,” Correia’s new album “veers seamlessly from arena rock to gospel music, that includes both power chords and a string quartet.” (NPR). American Songwriter writes she’s “back in top form with another rootsy gem of an album…Correia shows off her Rod Stewart-meets-Lucinda Williams pipes on Powder Blue Trans Am.” A dynamic performer who accompanies herself on guitar, piano and baritone ukelele, Correia recently returned home from a 28-city tour of the U.S., opening for legendary frontwoman of The Pretenders, Chrissie Hynde.

James Montgomery
When blues legend James Montgomery plays the harmonica, he "brings it on home". Whether it's recording with Kid Rock, sitting in with Gregg Allman, or fronting his hot band of thirty years, Montgomery plays with authority. He’ll be performing at the Spire Center, 25 ½ Court St. in Plymouth, on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. While growing up in Detroit he learned first-hand from the masters - James Cotton, John Lee Hooker, and Jr. Wells - at the legendary "Chessmate." Over the years, he's carried on in the tradition and continues to be a vital presence in Blues as one of the most dynamic performers on the scene. In 1970, while attending Boston University, Montgomery formed the James Montgomery Band. His inimitable (oh yeah, he majored in English) harmonica playing combined with his incredibly energetic live shows led to the band's quick ascension on the New England music scene. Within two years, the James Montgomery band was among the hottest acts in Boston along with J. Geils and Aerosmith, and they were quickly signed to a multi-album deal with Capricorn Records. Since that time, James has recorded six albums. His first, "First Time Out" has been remastered and re-released by MRG/Capricorn. Other include "James Montgomery Band" on Island Records which was number nine on Billboard's national playlist, "Duck Fever" with members of the David Letterman Band, "Live Trax," with the Uptown Horns (the Rolling Stones' horn section), and his release on Tone-Cool, "The Oven Is On."
