About Plymouth
map
Plymouth Massachusetts is the largest town in area in the Commonwealth. It is a coastal community in southeastern Massachusetts about 5 miles north of the Cape Cad Canal. In the past Plymouth was mostly an isolated seacoast area where the economy was linked to the sea and shipping. The site of the original Pilgrim settlement in 1620 is now part of today's thriving Downtown/Harbor district.

Because of its accessibility to the Boston metropolitan area and its desirability in terms of land prices as well as tax rates and other residential amenities, Plymouth's population increased 145% in the 20 years between 1970 and 1990. The town has a healthy industrial and commercial base along with amenities that include exclusive golf course communities and miles of beautiful beaches.

Residents of Plymouth are proud of its downtown and harbor and beaches and are committed to controlling its residential growth while welcoming industrial and commercial expansion.

Crystal Bowersox with Caroline Glaser
ABOUT CRYSTAL BOWERSOX Crystal Bowersox has become a stand out singer/songwriter whose work spans many genres, from blues and country to folk and rock. Since her season of wowing audiences around the world on season nine of "American Idol," Bowersox has released two records, the most recent being the country/soul accented "All That for This" in 2013, which opened to widespread critical acclaim. She is currently recording an E.P. for release in early 2015. Combining her powerful and dynamic vocals with her remarkably mature songwriting, Bowersox is described as, "Bluesy and soulful, with a voice incapable of artifice..." (The Washington Post). "...She has a keen, finely honed pop instinct all her own." - The New York Times "Bowersox expertly works the territory between folk and country...her best moments...are subtle, with a touch of twang and fragility." The Chicago Tribune $50 add-on VIP package starts one hour before doors open at 6 PM. Please note that the VIP Meet and Greet ticket must be purchased as a package with the general admission ticket. VIP Meet and Greet ticket includes: 1 - VIP Laminate 1 - Exclusive Picture An acoustic song performed by Crystal Question and answer time Photo opportunity with Crystal Signing with Crystal ABOUT CAROLINE GLASER Caroline Glaser was your typical first year college student, performing isolated open mic nights at her local coffee shops and making videos on her YouTube page, when she auditioned for season 4 of NBC's hit TV show The Voice. The judges were overwhelmed with affection, and the world watching was smitten. Adam Levine from Maroon 5 described Caroline's voice as "ethereal, magic and wonderful." Usher renamed himself "Gusher." Ultimately, Glaswer didn't win the highly-rated vocal competition, but she made a real connection with an instant fanbase begging for more. She will be the first to admit she is only a handful of steps into a long uphill road ahead, but is embracing this exciting opportunity to further develop as an "indie-folk" artist. The singer-songwriter is ever so grateful for the fans who encourage her along the way, and ecstatic to start playing and releasing music for them.

Seeking The Peace of Forgiveness

So many of us struggle with issues around forgiveness. We can be angry with or hurt by family, friends, enemies, strangers, ourselves or even God. For some of us -- its a combination of these. Resentment and bitterness are the pills we swallow hoping the other person will suffer, or at least suffer as much as we have or still are.

These emotions hold us back, bind us up, and can even consume us. This is not the freedom, and abundant life that Christ came to bring us. Forgiveness is a choice - it is not a feeling, and it requires the Grace of God to accomplish it.

**For more thoughts on forgiveness visit my blog:  RTY-Blog **

This day retreat will help women recognize unforgiveness in their lives, and shed a new, healing light on them. The light of Christ and gift of God's grace, and then provide many helpful tools to begin the process of letting go, forgiving, and moving on.

The day will include inspiring talks, small group discussion, lunch (coffee will be served throughout the day), confessions, and even shopping! We are so thrilled to have the Daughter's of St. Paul displaying some of their amazing books and other materials with us that day!

The Venture of 1620

The city of Plymouth has asked The Academy of Arts Ministries to perform The Venture of 1620 in historic 1500-seat Memorial Hall in Plymouth, Massachusetts at Thanksgiving. The Venture of 1620 is the unbelievable, yet true story of the Pilgrims escape from religious persecution to the New World.

The staff, students, and volunteers of The Academy of Arts Ministries will be arriving on a chartered bus in Plymouth, while an 18-wheeler follows with the costumes, props, scenery, stage lights and the 40' long replica of the Mayflower the staff has built specifically for this production. The Academy of Arts Ministries will also be a part of the city's annual Thanksgiving parade, ranked second only to the Macy's parade in New York, walking in costume for the over 200,000 tourists that will line the streets.

Cheryl Wheeler
Cheryl Wheeler really has to be seen to be appreciated. Nothing you read and nothing you hear from her albums prepares you for how entertaining a performer she is. If you're not already familiar with Cheryl, you have probably heard her music. She is very respected as a songwriter by her peers, which can be seen by how many of them record her songs. Cheryl's songs have been covered by artists as diverse as Dan Seals, Peter Paul & Mary, Kenny Loggins, Garth Brooks, Suzy Bogguss, Melanie, Bette Midler, Maura O'Connell, Sylvia, Kathy Mattea, and Holly Near. From her albums you can tell that she is a gifted songwriter with a beautiful voice. From other people's comments about her, you learn that she is a natural storyteller with a fantastic sense of humor. But until you see her in person, you never really believe what you've been told about her. Interestingly enough, almost half of the songs she performs during her shows have never been recorded! Her first public performance was at a Hootenanny when she was 12. She started writing her own songs when she was 17. Her funny stories between songs reveal her talent for diversity. Each time she tells a story, it will be a little bit different, so even if you've heard it before, you still find yourself laughing.
